Can I do it?

Yes! Canvas has a Test Student feature that allows you to view your course as a student! This is a great way to see how students will experience your course when taking a quiz, submitting an assignment, viewing modules, accessing content, and more. You can also use this feature to double check what your students can view and access in the course.

How do I do it?

Click the "Student View" button, located at the top right of your screen.
- The "Student View" button is only available for published content.
- If you don't see the Student View button, that content on that page is not viewable by students.
While in Student View, you will see a pink bar at the bottom of your screen.
- You can now view content and submit assignments and quizzes as a student.
Click the "Leave Student View" button (in the pink bar) to exit.
Click the "Reset Student" button (in the pink bar) to clear "Test Student" data.
- Use this if you need to clear data from submitting quizzes, assignments, etc. in Student View.
