Can I do it?

Yes! Canvas has a “Copy To” feature that allows you to copy and edit quizzes (and other content) within a course. This feature can also be used to copy Assignments, Discussions, Pages or Modules to another course, or for re-use within a course.

First, a word of caution...

NEVER copy the same instance of a Quiz twice. If you need to make multiple copies, make sure to copy the copy (never copying one instance more than once). If you make multiple copies of the same Quiz, changes made to the copies will override each other and can cause you to lose data. For example, if you have a weekly check-in quiz, you would copy the current week’s quiz (for the next week), and rename it with the new date. You would then copy the new quiz for the week after that, and so on.

How do I do it?

Locate the Item to copy and click the Options icon (sideways ellipses).
Select “Copy to…” from the drop-down menu.
In the “Copy to” tray, select a course and a module (if applicable) to copy content into.
Click the “Copy” button and wait for the “Copy operation started successfully” message.
Click “Close” and check your course to confirm the content was copied.
